How does it work?
Enter the pixel dimensions of your image and select the DPI (dots per inch). The tool divides the pixel values by the DPI to calculate the equivalent size in inches.
Why does DPI matter?
DPI determines how many pixels are packed into each inch when printed. At 300 DPI, a 3000px wide image prints at 10 inches. At 72 DPI, the same image would print at about 41.7 inches.
Can I do this manually?
You can divide the pixel dimensions by the DPI to get inches. For example, 2550px ÷ 300 DPI = 8.5 inches. This tool does the math for you with precise results.
