Frequently asked questions

How does PDF merging work?
Our tool uses pdf-lib to combine your PDF files entirely within your browser. Each PDF's pages are extracted and assembled into a single output document, preserving all content, formatting, and quality from the originals.
Are my files secure?
Absolutely. This tool runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to any server.
Is there a file size or page limit?
There is no hard limit. The tool works well with typical document sizes. Very large files (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow depending on your device's memory and browser capabilities.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Yes. You can drag and drop files to rearrange them in whatever order you like before merging. The final PDF will follow the order shown in the file list.
Will merging affect the quality of my PDFs?
No. The merge process preserves all content exactly as it appears in the original files. Text, images, vector graphics, fonts, and layout all remain unchanged.
Can I merge PDFs with different page sizes?
Yes. Each page retains its original dimensions in the merged output. If your source files have different page sizes or orientations, they will all be preserved as-is in the final document.
Does this work on mobile devices?
Yes. Since the tool runs in your browser, it works on any device with a modern web browser, including phones and tablets. Performance may vary depending on your device's processing power.
Why is this tool free to use?
Because PDF merging runs entirely in your browser, there are no server costs involved. Unlike some of our other tools which rely on servers we maintain, this one requires zero backend resources, so we're happy to offer it completely free with no limits.
