View recent exports
Follow each export's progress and see your recent exports. When you click Export, the plugin switches to the Recent subtab.
Follow an export
- Open a category, such as Popular.
- Choose a preset.
- Click Export.
- Watch the progress until the row says Completed.
When the export completes, your file downloads automatically.
Keep the plugin open until then. Some settings send your PDF to Print for Figma's servers, which can take a moment.
See why an export failed
If a row says Failed, hover over the status to see the reason. Then export again.
Clear the list
The list is a history only: to get a file again, export it again.
- Click Clear All (the icon at the top right) to empty the list.
- Click the back arrow to return to the New subtab.
Status labels and closing the plugin
| Label | What's happening |
|---|---|
| Exporting | Figma is creating the PDF for each page. |
| Merging | The plugin is combining your pages into one PDF. |
| Preparing | Your PDF is being sent for processing. |
| Processing | Print for Figma is applying your settings. |
| Resuming | The plugin is picking up an export that was processing when you closed it. |
| Downloading | The plugin is saving the finished file to your computer. |
| Completed | The export finished and your file downloaded. |
| Failed | The export stopped. Hover over the status to see the reason. |
If you close the plugin while your file is processing, reopen it within 5 minutes and the export picks up where it left off. If you close it earlier or wait longer, the export fails and you need to export again.
