Upgrade Print for Figma
Print for Figma offers a free Starter tier for document creation and paid Pro and Teams tiers that unlock PDF exporting and professional preflight tools. How you unlock them depends on the plan: Pro is a quick upgrade inside the plugin, while Teams is activated with a license key purchased separately on printability.app.
Upgrade to Pro
Print for Figma is billed through Figma's official payment system. No separate account needed.
- Open Print for Figma in any Figma file.
- Click Get Pro in the plugin's top bar to open the Pro modal.
- Click Upgrade to Pro. Figma's secure checkout opens.
- Choose your billing interval — monthly or yearly.
- Enter your payment details and click Complete purchase.
Pro unlocks immediately after payment. Your license is tied to the Figma account used during purchase and works in any Figma file where that account is logged in.
Upgrade Print for Figma Teams
The Teams plan is for organizations with one or more users and is billed through printability.app rather than Figma. Because the subscription is purchased separately, unlocking Pro features in the plugin is an activation step rather than a purchase: you paste in your team's license key and you're done.
Activate with your license key
If your team already has a subscription, get the license key from your team administrator, then:
- Open the Print for Figma TEAMS plugin in any Figma file.
- Click Get Pro in the plugin's top bar.
- In the modal that opens, paste your key into the Enter your license key field.
- Click Activate Pro. The plugin validates the key via the Printability API and activates Pro features for your seat.
Need a license key?
If you are the team administrator — or nobody on your team has purchased a subscription yet — you can buy a Teams license directly on printability.app. Once subscribed, your license key is available in your dashboard to share with your team. Troubleshooting Activation
If you have purchased Pro or entered a valid Teams key but the features remain locked:
- Ensure you are logged into the correct Figma account.
- Close and reopen the plugin.
- If migrating from an older beta version in Teams mode, you may be prompted to update your license key to the current system.
