Size Comparison
Tabloid is exactly two Letter sheets (8.5 × 11 in) placed side by side. It is close in size to A3 (297 × 420 mm) but slightly narrower and taller. Tabloid and Ledger are the same physical paper — Tabloid is the portrait orientation, Ledger is landscape.
Common Uses
- Newspapers and newsletter spreads
- Large-format spreadsheets and data tables
- Oversized restaurant menus
- Small posters and event flyers
- Two-up Letter printing for booklet imposition
Design Tips
- When printing booklets, use Tabloid sheets with two Letter pages per side — most print drivers have a "booklet" or "2-up" imposition setting.
- Tabloid and Ledger refer to the same 11 × 17 inch sheet. Specify portrait (Tabloid) or landscape (Ledger) when sending files to print.
- Include a 0.125-inch bleed on all sides for any design with edge-to-edge artwork.
- Not all office printers support 11 × 17 paper. Confirm tray capacity and paper path before printing large runs at 300 DPI.
